Our Design Process
We use a phased approach to ensure your final design is considered and exactly what you need. This allows for engagement at every step of the process, no surprises and a lovely design at the end.
We use a phased approach to ensure your final design is considered and exactly what you need. This allows for engagement at every step of the process, no surprises and a lovely design at the end.
The design journey begins with a site visit and an initial consultation. During this phase, our focus is on comprehending your goals and gaining insights into your site. Subsequently, we present a fee structure and outline the process to ensure a transparent and collaborative design experience.
Following approval of the fee structure a reverse brief will be provided for you to feed into. This will capture all your hopes and dreams as discussed in the site visit, as well as a moodboard of ideas and aesthetics. Its important we get this right to ensure we’re on the same page moving forward.
After finalising the reverse brief, we move on to crafting a 2D plan view of your garden. This detailed representation will encompass various spatial aspects, proposed materials, and plant suggestions. The presentation of this plan will be conducted in person, allowing you the opportunity to provide valuable feedback.
Upon approval of the concept we proceed to the design development phase. This stage firms up all details, including materials, measurements, and any other considerations that require clarification. If necessary, we can also create 3D representations to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the design.
Once the design stages are complete we will connect you with trusted and experienced trade people who can help bring your designs to life. We can be involved as much or as little as possible at this stage - offering just a visit at start and end of the project or weekly site visits to manage quality and any questions that arise during implementation. Once the hardscaping has been completed we will layout the plants for the team to get in the ground.
